Today, 4 years later, I got a new Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition.

First impressions: bigger and better screen and suuuuper fast comparing to my current one.

I’ll be reading “Gardens of the Moon” by Steven Erikson, the first book of the Malazan Book of the Fallen series, beginning next year.

I’ll be participating in Mike’s Book Reviews community read along.

This is a 2 year read along marathon. Don’t know if I’m gonna go to the end, but at least the first book is bought and ready to go.

Calibre 5 is out.

I had installed the python3 version. No need now, just install the calibre package.

I’ve been playing around and migrating my book library to Calibre.

Installing

I installed the python3 version.

1yay -S calibre-common calibre-python3

Goodreads plugin

I installed the Goodreads plugin to connect to my account and sync my ratings and read dates (for this I created a ‘read_date’ column.

I also sync my top 100 books. For that I created a ’top_100’ column in Calibre and when syncing my ‘Top 100’ shelf from Goodreads I update this column.
